At the heart of it all, Guindy National Park

 The Guindy National Park has always been a place full of pleasant and wonderful memories for me  since  childhood. 2.7 Square kilometres of wilderness within city limits, cut off  from human activity to the greatest extent possible.  Wildlife thrives, not just inside the park, but all around it too. I've seen Spotted Deer(Axis axis) crossing roads near IIT Madras and Anna University. 

Today I saw a mongoose cross a small pathway inside University of Madras(Guindy Campus) when I was there regarding some project work. The creature disappeared into the low lying dense vegetation before I could take my phone out to click pictures. 

Regardless, I came across this feral feline munching on a blade of grass, the reasons for which might be numerous. Was he sick, or just cleaning his bowels ?
